The Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary is a congregation of Catholic Sisters and Associates who are dedicated to the full development of the human person through education, social justice, contemplation and the arts.

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Processing Archivist.  This position is responsible for the appraisal, arrangement, and description of archival material in the U.S.-Ontario Archives Department located in Lake Oswego, Oregon. General responsibilities include; describes archival materials according to institutional and professional standards; maintains statistics to monitor supply levels and to improve collection management functions; and assists in maintaining the Province Archives’ database. This position participates in departmental projects such as outreach publications and special events to promote the history of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary (SNJM), U.S.–Ontario Province.

Qualifications:  Supports the mission of SNJM; Master’s degree from an ALA accredited library and information science program with archives’ emphasis or equivalent; Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience with archival practice, preferably from a government, business, or religious archives.
